1.Union Home Minister chairs the Northern Zonal Council meeting at Chandigarh .
Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh chaired the 28th meeting of the Northern Zonal Council whch was held at Chandigarh. The Northern Zonal Council consists of the states of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, New Delhi and Union territory of Chandigarh.



2.Tejas Successfully Test Fires Derby Air-to-Air Beyond Visual Range Missile.

Tejas, the Light Combat Aircraft test fired successfully demonstrated an Air-to-Air Beyond Visual Range (BVR) missile firing capability by releasing Derby Air-to-Air BVR missile in RADAR guided mode. The missile launch was performed in Lock ON after Launch mode for a BVR target in the look down mode and the target was destroyed.



3.India and United kingdom to cooperate in urban transport sector 

India and United Kingdom has agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on bilateral cooperation in urban transport policy planning, technology transfer and institutional organization of transport.

IBilateral cooperation arrangement was agreed between the Transport For London (TFL) and the Indian Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on a wide range of transport mobility solutions and associated activities in urban environments.

4. 19th Session of India-Italy Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation 

19th Session of India-Italy Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation in Rome. The Joint Commission was co-chaired by Mr. Carlo Calenda, the Minister of Economic Development from the Italian side and by the Minister of Commerce and Industry Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman from the Indian side.


5.Zojila pass has reopened which was closed following the heavy snowfall.

Zojila pass has been reopened, which was closed following the heavy snowfall in December.

Zojila pass was located in Jammu and Kashmir, it is a mountain pass which located in National Highway 1 between Srinagar and Leh.


6.Amitab bachan is WHO’s new ambassador for hepatitis in southeast asia region.

Amitab Bachan was appointed as new Ambassador for Hepatitis in South east Asia region by World Health Organisation (WHO).
