Figure of Speech

Anaphora,      
    
It is a word or group of words which is repeated at the beginning of two or more successive clauses or sentences.

Example From Syllabus:

Footprints on the sands of time
Footprints that perhaps another

You bleached our souls soiled with impurities
You bathed our hearts amid tempestuous seas

And climb again the broken bank of my wall-face
And as he put his head into that dreadful hole.

 Ellipsis,

Ellipsis is a series of dots which indicates an intentional omission of words or series of words without changing the meaning.

Example:
  1. After college I went to his house … and then came home
  2. He opened the door . . . and saw . . . a cake
  3. I never thought…
