Indian Navy’s Theater Level
Readiness operational Exercise (TROPEX) begins in western Seaboard. It is an
annual exercise which is conducted last in 2015. The exercise will held for month
which has ships and aircraft of both the Eastern and Western naval commands,
also assets from the Indian Army, Air force and Coast Guard.
The exercise is aimed
to validating combat readiness of the Indian Navy and asset of Indian Army, Indian
Air force and coast Guard. It will help to strengthen inter-operability and
joint operation in a complex environment.
The exercise will be
conducted both in harbor and sea encompassing
the various facets of war-fighting and combat operations.
The first TROPEX was held in 2007, Indian Navy experimented the
doctrine of influencing a land air to support Indian Air force and Army.
